The
Winston County Sheriffs Office provides law enforcement,
corrections
programs and
services to the community.
The Sheriff is mandated to carry out a number
of administrative and operational functions, including patrolling and monitoring traffic, providing emergency planning
services, and providing court security when requested.
The
Sheriff is also mandated to provide for sufficient jail space and to keep it in
good repair. The Sheriffs office provides ongoing training for its employees.
